Hello Again!

Hello everybody and thank you for all your kind comments. I have to say "thank you" to Bob Dolfi and Damon Lanza for supporting me on their website. I don't think I know nicer people. Thank you too, to Marlene. I know she does so much as well. Also, any of you from the east coast, we just did an Italian radio show this morning where Bob and Damon were on the phone and they answered questions about Mario. I was in the studio and may I say when the emcee, John LaBarca mentioned Mario Lanza, the phone lines lit up like I'd never seen. There is still such a love for the man and his music.
This whole thing for me is such a dream come true. I have read about countless tenors who were going to play Mario, etc, for years on the forums. I always said "someday, when the time is right, I'm going to come on the scene." It all happened so fast. May I say "thank you" to a great friend, Dominic Mantuano, who introduced me to Damon in NY amidst a great amount of confusion. When I met him, unlike so many tenors, he welcomed me with open arms. He sang at Patsy's and it was a very memorable performance. Thank you Dominic for being so kind. I wish you the best. What is there for any of us tenors to be jealous about if we really all want to promote the best interest of Mario? So many singers fall into that, but I have to say, Dominic certainly is not one of them. Thank you TO EVERYBODY for all the kind compliments on Bob and Damon's site and my site as well. I will record an english song shortly and put it on the site for everyone. Goodnight all.

Sad News Today

Dear friends, Last night I lost a very dear friend who was a great help to me in my career. I am away singing right now and the last thing she would want is for me to write this as I am extremely sad and in tears. Maria Ganotti-Fersko my trusted friend, assistant, agent and lawyer passed away. I know many of you have dealt with her in the past and I can say that my life was better for knowing her. She has been helping me for the last 5 years. We met at a Mario Lanza Society Luncheon in NY and became friends straight away. Her undying dedication to helping me attain my goals was unparalled right from the beginning. She was always there for me when I needed her and I will miss her kind words and fond wishes always. Just email me for funeral arrangements and I will give anyone information as I get it. Should I attain great heights in this field of music, Maria was and is an undeniable part of my success. In the 5 years Ive known her I have come so far. You did your job with me Maria. She always ended her emails with me saying "you are always in my prayers". Many of you dont know she was a former nun. She had a deep faith and I know she is with her maker now. Let us all keep her kind soul in our prayers. Good night, Maria, "sogni d'oro". Thank you for everything you did and everything you are.

CARNEGIE HALL

Well as many of you know, I made my Carnegie Hall debut on Good Friday April 10, 2009. It was an honor to sing at such a place that Pavarotti, Gigli, et cetera, et cetera, have performed. It was a bit daunting and also a great honor. I am also glad my friends were there to see it as well as my family. I performed with 2 other tenors who have friends of mine. I was honored to be a part of a 3 Tenors concert for Mario Lanza. This year is 50 years since he passed away. The night was dedicated in my heart to Damon Lanza who passed away not too long ago. I will be posting some pictures of the event in the near future. I wish everyone the best. -Aaron

MARIO LANZA THE MUSICAL

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I have been delaying writing anything about this musical because I didnt have any good pictures. Well, lo and behold, my dear friends Sandra and Forrest Blood made me a disk of some highlights from the show and I happily put them up on my photo page. I hope everyone likes them and I sincerely thank the Bloods (not the gang, but Sandra and Forrest) for their pictures. Thanks guys!

The musical was a huge success with many standing ovations. I was honored to work with such talent such as Lou Pannacciulli and his wonderful orchestra the Nassau Pops. http://www.nassaupops.com/ If you have a chance to hear them, please do yourself a favor and go. There is nothing like a beautiful live orchestra. They were all very nice people too. It turns out Lou is a first cousin of another friend of mine from Queens, Lou Aqualino. Small world. Anyway, it was also an honor to work with Sonny Grosso the famous movie/tv producer and of course Phil Ramone the great music producer. http://www.philramone.com I have put links for both of these men in my links section.

I also worked with an aggregation of talent that was second to none. Lou Martini, jr http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0553778/, Giada Valenti http://www.giadavalenti.com/, Ryan Kellyhttp://www.ryeryan.com/, Julian Sage Miyata http://www.myspace.com/juliansagemiyata, Lou Moneta and Gayle Scott http://swingsinatra.com/, Christina Luna, Don Catrone and of course Frank Pellegrino http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0671023/. It was really an honor to work with all these great people. I look forward to continuing on this wonderful journey. Best to all. -Aaron

Hello everyone. I had a great time as the Grand Marshall of the Baltimore, MD oldest running Columbus Day Parade. What an honor it was for me to be picked. After the parade we had a wonderful concert with Tenor Elio Scaccio. All of this was put together by Chairman Vince Piscopo, who did a wonderful job. Here is the link to the article in the Examiner: www.examiner.com/a-973630~Parade_celebrates_Baltimore_s_Italian_heritage.html?cid=rss-Baltimore

Before the parade I was able to meet Governor Martin O'Malley- http://www.gov.state.md.us/ and also Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon - http://www.ci.baltimore.md.us/mayor/ It was wonderful to see people of all backgrounds coming together to celebrate this holiday.
Milwaukee, WI FESTA ITALIANA

Well, what a time in Milwaukee we had this year! It was a lot of fun at this my second time performing for this wonderful festa. If you have a chance to go, you really should. There are something like 10 stages. Its really amazing. I gave 4 shows from Thursday through Sunday. What a time. I featured my friend, Christina Luna also. She was just wonderful as usual. We are hoping she will have her own show next year. I would like to thank Paul Iannelli, Al Rolandi, Sal Quarino and Dominic in the opera tent for all they did. Also, we had Bob Dofli, the Mario Lanza family historian and Damon Lanza, the only surviving son of Mario Lanza on hand. They debunked a lot of the myths about Mario and really promoted him very well. Marlene was also there and its always a pleasure to see her smiling face. They have a website at http://www.lanzalegend.com
You should check it out! Ok, Ciao for now. Im off to Ohio next........
